Handles TV, video and mobile content on Iceland's first purpose-built 3G mobile network

Leading broadband solutions provider Industria today announced that Nova, an Icelandic 3G and fixed convergent network operator, has launched Iceland's first purpose-built 3G network with content services provided by Industria's Zignal solution.

Nova selected Industria's Zignal Software Suite to deliver interactive content to the Nova subscribers. This includes Industria's Zignal Mobile TV solution, which enables Nova to deliver streaming TV and video and other entertainment content to mobile handsets, as well as other digital media receivers.

Industria was selected by Nova to design and build the operation from the ground up. The project was handled by INS Iceland, Industria's subsidiary for network services, from the initial analysis phase and all the way through to the launch, including overall system integration, project management of various elements of the build-up, and providing a range of value-added services.

Icelandic Prime Minister Visits Industria and Hibernia Atlantic During Ireland Trip

PM tours Industria's Dublin facilities and Hibernia Atlantic Cable Station

Dublin, 11 Sep 2007 —  

Industria, a leading total-broadband solutions provider, and Hibernia Atlantic, the only diverse Trans-Atlantic data transport provider, hosted a visit by the Prime Minister of Iceland, Mr. Geir H. Haarde, on Wednesday, 12 September 2007. The visit included a tour of Industria’s Dublin facilities and the Hibernia Atlantic Cable Station.

Industria demonstrated to the Prime Minister and his delegation the result of its long-term partnership with Columbia Ventures, the owner of both Hibernia Atlantic and Magnet Networks in Ireland.
